Welcome to Shortze (“Shortze”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Shortze mobile app, website, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using Shortze, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility

To use Shortze, you must:

  1. Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal digital consent age in your country).
  2. If under 18, have parental/guardian consent.
  3. Not be prohibited from using online services under any applicable law.

We may require age verification and may suspend or remove accounts that appear misrepresented.

2. Your Account

  1. You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account.
  2. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your login credentials.
  3. Do not share your password or grant access to others.
  4. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or appear unsafe.

3. User Content

Shortze allows you to create, upload, post, stream, or share videos, audio, comments, messages, and other content (“User Content”).

3.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of your User Content.

By posting on Shortze, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, transferable license to:

  1. Host, display, distribute, reproduce, modify (formatting only), and promote your content in connection with the Platform.
  2. Use your username, profile photo, voice, likeness, or captions as part of your posted content.

This license ends when you delete your content or close your account—except where:

  1. Content has been shared by others.
  2. Content is stored in backups.
  3. Legal reasons require retention.

3.2 Your Responsibilities

You agree that your content will not:

  1. Include nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit material.
  2. Sexualize or depict minors (strictly prohibited).
  3. Promote violence, self-harm, terrorism, illegal activities, drugs, or weapons.
  4. Include hate speech or harassment.
  5. Violate privacy, intellectual property, or data protection laws.
  6. Contain misleading, harmful, or fraudulent information.
  7. Contain unauthorized advertisements, spam, scams, or impersonation.

You represent that you have all rights needed to upload the content you post (including music rights, trademarks, appearances of people, etc.).

4. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  1. Use Shortze for illegal purposes.
  2. Upload malware, scripts, scraping tools, or automated bots.
  3. Manipulate view counts, likes, comments, or engagement using automation.
  4. Misuse reporting tools.
  5. Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Platform’s operations.
  6. Engage in abusive behavior, harassment, or bullying.
  7. Impersonate someone or create deceptive/fake identities.
  8. Circumvent any moderation, age restriction, or security feature.

5. Community Guidelines & Moderation

Shortze enforces strict Community Guidelines, which are part of these Terms.

We may:

  1. Remove or restrict content at our discretion.
  2. Limit visibility of certain posts.
  3. Disable features (comments, messaging, livestreaming).
  4. Suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate guidelines or pose risks.

We use a combination of AI tools, human review, and automated safety systems.

6. Child Safety & CSAE Prevention

Shortze follows global child safety laws, including Google Play’s Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation (CSAE) policies.

Strictly prohibited:

  1. Any depiction or suggestion of minors in sexual or exploitative contexts.
  2. Grooming behavior or inappropriate communication with minors.
  3. Accounts misrepresenting age for harmful behavior.

Shortze uses:

  1. AI-based image/video detection
  2. Keyword monitoring in chats/comments
  3. Livestream safety monitoring
  4. Age-gating features

Violations result in instant account removal and may be reported to authorities.

7. Intellectual Property

All Shortze trademarks, logos, software, designs, and content (excluding User Content) are owned by us or licensed to us.

You may not:

  1. Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit any part of the Platform.
  2. Use our trademarks without written permission.

8. Music, Sounds & Effects

If you upload content containing music or audio:

  1. You must have rights to use it.
  2. Unauthorized use of copyrighted music may result in takedowns.
  3. Shortze may provide a licensed music library; usage must follow our policies.

9. In-App Purchases, Coins & Monetization

Shortze may offer:

  1. Virtual coins/currency
  2. Gifts
  3. Boosts
  4. Subscription plans
  5. Creator monetization tools

9.1 Virtual Items

  1. Virtual currency has no cash value.
  2. Shortze may modify or discontinue virtual items anytime.

9.2 Creator Payments

To receive earnings:

  1. You must meet eligibility criteria and comply with tax and identity verification requirements.
  2. Fraudulent activity may result in loss of earnings or permanent bans.

10. Messaging, Comments & Interactions

You must use communication features responsibly. You agree not to:

  1. Harass or threaten users.
  2. Send spam or solicit illegal services.
  3. Engage in predatory behavior.

We may filter, block, or monitor communications for safety.

11. Live Streaming Rules

Livestreams must follow all guidelines. The following actions may result in immediate removal:

  1. Sexual content or provocative behavior.
  2. Minors engaging in risky or inappropriate behavior.
  3. Violence, self-harm, or dangerous stunts.
  4. Hate speech or harassment.
  5. Unauthorized gambling or paid contests.

Shortze may temporarily or permanently disable livestream access.

12. Data Privacy

Your use of Shortze is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes data practices including:

  1. What information we collect
  2. How we use it
  3. How we protect your data
  4. Rights available to you under applicable laws

13. Third-Party Services

Content may include links or integrations with third-party tools, advertisers, e-commerce stores, or partner offerings.

Shortze is not responsible for third-party actions, content, or services.

14. Reporting Violations

You can report:

  1. Harmful or inappropriate content
  2. Abuse or harassment
  3. Impersonation
  4. Safety concerns

Shortze may investigate but is not obligated to act on every report.

15. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  1. You violate these Terms or Community Guidelines.
  2. We detect harmful, fraudulent, or illegal activity.
  3. Required by law enforcement.
  4. The account has been inactive for long periods.

You may delete your account anytime through settings.

16. Disclaimers

Shortze is provided “as is” without warranties.

We do not guarantee:

  1. Continuous or error-free access
  2. Accuracy of content
  3. That the Platform will always be safe or free from harmful content

You use Shortze at your own risk.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  1. Shortze is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

18. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Shortze from claims arising out of:

  1. Your use of the Platform
  2. Your User Content
  3. Your violation of these Terms or laws
  4. Harm caused to others through your content or interactions

19. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the Platform indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.

20. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction].
